Abolish war!

Proposals for Nonviolent Self-Defense with Civil Deterrence, Martí Olivella Solé

The writer and political activist Victor Hugo proclaimed at the World Peace Congress held in Paris in 1849 that the death penalty must be abolished. Now, 176 years after that historic speech, a new goal is needed: to abolish war. If war applies the death penalty indiscriminately and without any legal procedure, the only way to avoid this contradiction and crime against humanity is to abolish it.

In this book, Martí Olivella proposes a strategy of Nonviolent Self-Defense with Civil Deterrence to prevent armed conflicts and ensure that they never come to fruition for a potential aggressor. Maintaining the right and duty to defend ourselves from invasion or injustice, but doing so with intelligence, efficiency and ethics.

The author presents information and proposals aimed at creating nonviolent self-defense forces, in a new security paradigm . An unprecedented formulation but not impossible.

This is a highly valuable document for facing the turbulent times we live in, and it helps a lot, with tools and arguments, to build an entire peaceful and democratic movement. This book points us to a path that is as necessary as it is useful.

How to organize a Nonviolent Self-Defense

Nonviolent Civil Deterrence Manuals

Like any defense system, Nonviolent Self-Defense must be organized, trained, and demonstrated. It will only be a deterrent if the potential aggressor perceives the force of your total non-cooperation.
In the book Nonviolent Self-Defense (#ADNcat) in 100 messages and an incredible story The main ideas and experiences that underpin an alternative to armed military defence are collected. But, as is normal in such a new subject, questions arise about how to apply it in different scenarios, how to generate ADN groups, how to improve nonviolent action and what we can do specifically in the event of an armed aggression (invasion, occupation). For this reason, we present four manuals that can be read separately and in the order that each person finds most appropriate.
This 2nd manual offers some practical elements for creating and organizing a Nonviolent Self-Defense (NVS) group, and its networking.
