We have a way out of impotence, of “I can’t do anything”, and of the destructive temptation of violence: create a network of Nonviolent Self-Defense (ADN) centers .
You can re-convert your gang into a ADN nucleus or you can create a ADN with close people who want to activate you to defend a habitable earth.
Between “wanting to change everything” and “doing nothing”, -which ends up being the same- this path allows us to get started, learn along the way, train ourselves in the nonviolent struggle to defend rights and freedoms, to defend ourselves from aggressions of all kinds and, thus, in addition, these ADNs prepare us in times of peace to confront and deter potential invasions or armed occupations. It is about avoiding war thanks to having organized a dissuasive Nonviolent Popular Defense alternative to the bloody Violent Military Defense.
OBJECTION TO WAR
The people who began the nonviolent struggle against compulsory military service are calling to object, denounce, not cooperate, disobey… and commit to creating alternatives to armies. You can join us!!

In this book, Martí Olivella proposes a strategy of Nonviolent Self-Defense with Civil Deterrence to prevent armed conflicts and ensure that they never become profitable for a potential aggressor. This strategy maintains the right and duty to defend ourselves against invasion or injustice, but does so intelligently, effectively, and ethically. The author presents information and proposals aimed at the creation of nonviolent self-defense forces within a new security paradigm.

Shame… of being human.
How is it possible that in the 21st century
there are leaders—and peoples who follow them—
that they still believe that by preparing for war…
do they build peace?
